Hotel Vila Ombak

Gili Trawangan

Vila Ombak enjoys a wonderful location by the white sandy beach on the south-eastern side of Gili Trawangan. Close to great restaurants, pleasant cafés and bars, it is a mere 8-minute walk from where you disembark.

The hotel is cosy and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It exudes authentic Indonesian style with traditional lumbung cottages and bungalows.

Vila Ombak has a total of 148 spacious and tastefully appointed rooms with classic wooden furniture and Indonesian art. All have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe, a mini-fridge, a TV, a telephone, complimentary bottled water and an electric kettle, allowing you to start the day with a cup of coffee or tea, which you can enjoy on your private balcony or terrace. All rooms also feature their own large bathroom with complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer.

In the garden, you’ll find the hotel’s two wonderful pool areas. One pool has an adjoining children’s pool and offers a view of the beach and the neighbouring island of Lombok with Mount Rinjani, while the other is an adults’ pool in a more secluded location in the middle of a tropical garden with palm trees and frangipani. Both pool areas have parasols, sun loungers and a “swim-up bar” where you can order cold drinks, freshly squeezed juice, and fresh coconut water served in a coconut – an absolute must when you’re in Gili!

You can also relax on the 100-metre-long private sandy beach and enjoy a relaxing dip in the turquoise water. Kayak, banana boat and snorkelling equipment rental are also available here.

For lunch, you can visit The Blue Beach, which is located by the beach. Enjoy light meals and snacks here under an open sky with your feet buried in the sand.

Every evening (weather permitting), the beach is transformed into an outdoor cinema where you can enjoy your must-have popcorn and refreshments from The Blue Beach.

Seahorse Restaurant, the hotel’s main restaurant, is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. In the morning, it serves fresh fruit, home-made yoghurt, freshly baked bread, eggs, and pancakes, while for lunch and dinner, there are Indonesian and Southern European specialities, fish and shellfish, as well as various grilled dishes on the menu.

The hotel’s other facilities include a doctor’s clinic, bicycle rental, a souvenir shop and a day spa, where you can treat yourself to a Balinese massage, facials, manicures and pedicures.
