Speedboat trip to the foot of the Iguazú Falls
Fancy an extraordinary, up-close Iguazú experience? Then this tummy-tingling speedboat trip up the Iguazú River is a must!
The first part of the trip is by 4WD bus through the jungle along a 5 km gravel road down to the harbour. From here, a steep staircase leads down to the harbour, where a speedboat is waiting to take you up the river to the roaring waterfalls.
You will see the giant waterfalls from below, and at the end, you will sail in under one of the smaller waterfalls, allowing you to boast of having taken a shower in the Iguazú Falls! Of course, it’s entirely up to you whether you feel like placing yourself in the middle of the cascades. Either way, you will definitely enjoy a soaking on the trip, so it’s a good idea to either change into swimwear or wear a rain poncho. You will be given a waterproof bag for your valuables.
The trip back down the river zips at a high speed through several large rapids, with tummy tingling guaranteed.
Duration: approx. 2 hours – as an extension of your tour on the Argentinian side of the falls
