Sails in the Desert is in many ways a classic first-class hotel.
The large, white sails after which the resort is named also provide shade for the 228 rooms. The Australian sun is harsh and hot.
Where an attempt is made to shield the guests a little from Australia, inside, the rooms scream Welcome to Australia! The walls are adorned with local art and there’s no mistaking where you are. The rooms are spacious and all have a lounge area where you can curl up with a good book, as well as a terrace or balcony. All mod cons are to be found here – and, of course, free Wi-Fi.
The afternoon can be spent by the large pool, where there’s space to laze, or you can visit the day spa. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, but you can, of course, also choose to visit some of the other restaurants in the small village.
Please note that breakfast is included in the price if you choose to upgrade to Terrace Room or Suite at Sails in the Desert.
