From Ubud, the tour continues to the sacred water temple of Tirta Empul, Tegallalang’s unique rice terraces and small, exciting arts and crafts villages, where you can encounter the skilled wood and stone carvers.
The tour concludes with a lovely beach holiday in Sanur, where you can relax and enjoy the 5-km golden sandy beach, read a book under a swaying palm tree and bathe in the calm water.

You land at Bali’s international airport, Ngurah Rai, in the main city of Denpasar. On arrival, you pass through immigration and receive your tourist visa. Your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a TourCompass sign, and you will immediately sense the warm Balinese welcome.
Along with your guide, you are driven to your hotel in the beautiful city of Ubud, which also is Bali’s cultural heart, where traditions and ceremonial events are held wholeheartedly. After checking in, the rest of the day is at your disposal.
There are no planned excursions and you can take the days at your own pace, deciding the activities yourself.
Ubud is located in the gorgeous hilly highlands surrounded by rivers, ravines and grassy-green rice paddies and terraces.
On streets and in temples, ceremonial events often take place, and you can experience the Balinese in their lovely traditional clothes on their way to the local temple, with offerings to the Hindu deities Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. It is a truly wonderful and atmospheric thing to experience.
Ubud is also Bali’s centre of art, and many artists have settled down with art galleries and small shops with local handicrafts made from wood, glass and ceramics. If you do not fall in love with the arts and crafts, perhaps you will fall for the bags, jewellery or organic beauty products.
In the evening when darkness falls, you can visit one of Ubud’s many excellent restaurants, many of which are organic, and round off with a drink or a cup of coffee at one of the cosy bars or cafés, where you can take in the local atmosphere.
You can also spend an evening at Ubud Palace and experience a wonderful Balinese dance show that depicts stories from Hinduism with traditional music and song. This includes pieces such as “Barong”, which depicts the battle between good and evil with dancers wearing horrific masks and “Legong”, the cheerful and feminine dance with delicate movements performed by women.
We have collected a range of exciting optional tours that you can read more about below.
Today you say goodbye to Ubud, and after a lovely breakfast, you check out of the hotel and are picked up by your guide and driver, who take you on an exciting half-day excursion around Ubud.
The first visit is the water temple Tirta Empul in Tampaksiring, located by 12 natural springs. The temple is incredibly beautiful with fine sculptures and fishponds full of carps. The main attraction is the pool with the sacred water, where you can bathe and cleanse your soul alongside the locals, who leave offerings and light incense sticks that fill the air with their scent.
The next stop is the famous rice terraces of Tegallalang, which are among the most beautiful on the island. Here you have a phenomenal view and unique photo opportunities.
Afterwards, you are driven to the small arts and crafts villages Mas and Batubulan, which each have their own speciality. In Mas, the wood carvers pursue their expertise, and in Batubulan, you can experience the stone carvers.
Next, you set a course for Sanur and can expect some lovely days on the beach, digesting the many experiences and impressions of the tour.
Sanur is Bali’s most popular beach town and has managed to maintain its pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The town’s big draw is its 5 km long, wide and golden sandy beach, which is known for its calm waters and gentle waves. This is because the beach is protected by a coral reef a bit further out, making it extremely child-friendly. Here you can frolic in the warm water and enjoy the sun on a recliner or read a good book under the swaying palm trees.
The beach boardwalk runs alongside the beach, inviting you for strolls amidst small shops with products such as wood crafts, clothing and other souvenirs.
On the high street, you will find a pleasant selection of cafés and restaurants, as well as shops. Walking away from the main street, you will get down to the small side streets, where you can experience local life and small houses standing side by side with lovely temples.
In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset from the beach, where the many local fishing boats and the small pavilion form a perfect backdrop.
After a spectacular holiday, it is now time to find your way back to British shores. You are picked up from your hotel and driven to the airport in Denpasar, from which you fly home to the UK, with connecting flights along the way.
You land in the UK after a spectacular and relaxing holiday.

Extend your tour to include an exciting city break to Singapore and be blown away by the state-of-the-art metropolis of the East.
Covering an area of just 721.5 km2, the island state is South-east Asia’s smallest country, and what the small, well-developed country lacks in size, it more than makes up for in experiences.
Look forward to experiencing the architectural Marina Bay Sands, stroll around the green oasis Gardens by the Bay, shop to your heart’s content on Orchard Road, drink Singapore Slings at Raffles Hotel and ride in the 165-metre-high ferris wheel, the Singapore Flyer, which offers a phenomenal view of all the futuristic skyscrapers and the harbour.
What also makes Singapore so cool is that it is a melting pot of cultures, and people live with respect for and an understanding of one another, with Buddhist temples, mosques, churches and Hindu temples side by side. Singapore’s diversity can be experienced in the charming districts of Little India, China Town and the Arabic and Malay quarter, Kampong Glam. Soak in the atmosphere while being seduced by the wonderful, colourful buildings and the aroma of spices and jasmine.
The multicultural community is also reflected in the many culinary delights on offer around the city. If you’re into authentic street food, you can visit one of the famous hawker centres, or, if upscale Michelin restaurants are more your thing, make your way to the special food street, Keong Saik Road, and discover some of Singapore’s best restaurants.
Other popular and hip neighbourhoods are the colourful Haji Lane in Kampong Glam and the Art Deco area, Tiong Bahru. Both neighbourhoods are known for their cosy cafés, exciting restaurants and shops as well as wonderful street art.
In stark contrast to the vibrant city life is Sentosa Island, a small island which offers lovely sandy beaches and countless sights and activities for the whole family such as Universal Studios and various adventure parks.
Does Singapore sound tempting?

If you wish to conclude your holiday with a stay on a paradise island, then Gili Trawangan is an excellent choice.
Gili Trawangan, also known as Gili T, is one of the three Gili islands – and the most popular. Gili Trawangan has become especially popular due to great opportunities it offers for scuba diving and snorkelling in the sea around the island. See sea turtles, colourful fish and perhaps even a reef shark. The island is also known for its lovely beaches, which invite pure, unadulterated relaxation. Lie yourself down on a sun lounger and soak up the warm rays of the sun, or enjoy a drink in one of the many beanbags in the shade of a coconut palm.
During the day, the atmosphere is relaxed, with things livening up in the evening at the numerous small restaurants and bars. On the west side of the island, you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Bali, and if you’re lucky and it’s a clear evening, you’ll even be able to see the sun go down behind Mt. Agung volcano in Bali. It’s a wonderful experience that you’ll never forget! There are no paved roads or cars here, but bicycles and horse-drawn carriages instead.
In other words, Gili Trawangan has everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday.
The extension includes a 3-night beach holiday at the resort on Gili Trawangan, 1 night at a hotel in Sanur, breakfast, transfers and a speedboat between Bali and Gili Trawangan.

Here you can bring down the pace and just enjoy the golden sandy beaches, the crystal-clear water, swaying palm trees and wild nature with cactuses and rock formations. The island is also known for its great snorkelling and diving opportunities. There are only a few cars on the small island, so getting around by bicycle is the easiest.
The majority of the north-eastern section of the island is covered in mangrove, which serves an important role in the ecosystem of the area and helps give life to the many corals. You can go on a quiet boat ride through the mangroves in either a kayak or a small boat.
Many of the island’s inhabitants sustain themselves by growing seaweed. When the tides go out, the seaweed fields appear, and you will see farmers stream out to pick it.
