Panoramic guided tour of Salvador (afternoon)
Accompanied by a guide in Cidade Baixa, the name of the low-lying district of Salvador, you will experience the amazing area filled with history, culture and beautiful views.
The tour starts in the Ribeira district, where you have the opportunity to taste their famous and unique ice cream while enjoying the view of the Itapajipe peninsula.
You then go to the Nosso Senhor do Bonfirm church, which forms the background of one of the biggest religious festivals in the Bahia area.
You will also see the Mont Serrat fortress, which houses a collection of original war weapons from the colonial era.
The tour rounds off at Mercado Modelo, one of Brazil’s largest handicraft markets. It is an old warehouse that has been transformed into a market place, and you have time to walk around and browse or perhaps buy a few souvenirs to take home with you.
