Paraty’s nature, culture and cachaça production

Discover Paraty’s unique blend of history, nature and culture on this day trip.

The tour starts with a scenic drive in a Jeep through the beautiful, lush rainforest in the Serra da Bocaina National Park. You will walk to various waterfalls on the way, including Toboga and Pedra Branca, where you will witness adventurous locals sliding down the smooth rocks of the waterfall. You will have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool waters.

This area of Brazil is well-known for its Cachaça production, and on this tour, you will visit a local distillery, where you learn about the production of the famous Brazilian rum, which is made from sugar cane and, among other things, used in Brazil’s national cocktail, caipirinha. The tour rounds off with a tasting of liqueurs and Cachaça.

A stop is made at a cosy restaurant in Paraty for lunch, allowing you to refuel before the tour continues.

Finally, you’ll visit a local flour producer, where you’ll learn about the production of cassava flour. You’ll also get to taste freshly brewed, local coffee.
