Cycling in the countryside around Siem Reap

Join this exciting bicycle tour away from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the serene and beautiful Cambodian countryside and experience a side of Siem Reap that many visitors never get to see. 

In the morning, you meet up at our local partner’s office, which is conveniently located just across the river from the Old Market. Here you will be met by your guide and given a brief introduction to the day’s programme before you set off on your cycling adventure. 

The bicycle tour goes via an idyllic route along the Siem Reap River, where you can enjoy the fresh morning air and peaceful atmosphere. From here, you turn off the usual tourist paths and onto charming gravel tracks that wind through the lush countryside and picturesque villages.  

You stop off at small farms, where you will see farmers working in the fields and learn about the processes that are key to their lives and livelihoods. You will also experience traditional activities such as sugar production and rice cultivation, while there is also time to enjoy Cambodian snacks made from local ingredients and prepared in the traditional way. 

Along the route, your guide shares fascinating tales, and gives you an insight into the history, culture and traditions of the villages. You will learn about the daily routines, family life and the challenges faced by the villagers, giving you a deeper understanding of Cambodian society. 

After an eventful morning filled with discoveries and new impressions, the tour returns to the starting point and the rest of your day is at your leisure.
