If you can’t get enough of Cambodian food, this is a unique opportunity to delve into Khmer cuisine and experience the authentic flavours of the local food culture.
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to a charming, traditional Khmer wooden house, where you will be welcomed for a unique culinary journey through the lively and authentic flavours of Khmer cuisine. The day is led by an experienced and passionate chef who will guide you step by step while preparing iconic dishes such as the aromatic amok, a flavourful fish soup, and the succulent loc lac, or shaking beef, a dish based on peppered beef.
After an introduction to the basic ingredients and techniques, you get to stand at the pots and create the delicacies yourself with useful input from the chef. When the food is ready, you sit down at the table to enjoy the fruits of your labours. Each dish is served with carefully selected wines, which highlight and complement the complex flavours of the prepared food.
After this culinary experience and exciting insights into the heart of Khmer culture, you will be driven back to your hotel armed with new cooking skills and a greater understanding and appreciation of the Khmer people and their food traditions.
