Manuel Antonio National Park (morning)

Manuel Antonio National Park is one of Costa Rica’s most well-known and popular national parks, as it is not only one of the most species-rich national parks in the world, but is also proclaimed to be among the world’s most beautiful. The picturesque park consists of a lush green rainforest extending all the way to the beautiful white sandy beaches and the turquoise-blue sea.

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Manuel Antonio National Park. In the park, your guide will take you along the marked paths while he tells you about its fascinating flora and fauna and points out the many different animals hiding among the leafy plants and trees. You will be able to see animals such as sloths, iguanas, hummingbirds, toucans and various monkeys such as common squirrel monkeys, white-headed capuchin monkeys and mantled howlers.

After a walk of around two hours in the exciting national park, you can decide whether you wish to stay in the park on your own and enjoy the beaches, which can only be accessed from the park. The beaches in here are amazing, and Playa Manuel Antonio beach has even been voted one of the best in the world.

Remember to bring: Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sun hat/cap, binoculars if you wish, water, a towel, swimwear and sunscreen.

Duration: approx. 3 hours (but you have the opportunity to stay longer in the park on your own after the guided tour if you wish. You’ll just have to get back to your hotel yourself).

Please note: No food or snacks of any sort or cigarettes and alcohol are allowed in the national park. There is a small cafeteria in the park where you can buy food and drink.
