Ziplining in Monteverde’s tree tops

Go an unforgettable ziplining ride in the tree tops of Monteverde’s magical cloud forest, and experience the rush in your stomach as you glide over the many trees of the forest.

After your walk along the hanging bridges, the tour starts in an open gondola that takes you up the mountainside and across the cloud forest until you reach the highest point of the mountain. Here, you are dropped off at a vantage point, where you enjoy a fantastic view of the enchanting forest. Your adventure-filled trip on the ziplines then begins.

You whizz over the cloud forest’s ravines and lush vegetation and perhaps even through the clouds along cables, which are firmly clamped to the platforms in the tree tops. You reach speeds of up to 70 km/h on the eight different cables, the longest of which is 750 metres long and the highest is 100 metres above the ground.

Along the way, there is ample opportunity to admire the breathtaking mountains surrounding the forest and the beautiful, lush trees beneath you.

This will definitely be a trip you will never forget!

Please note: For safety reasons, participants on this trip may weigh a maximum of 136 kg and measure no more than 117 cm around the waist. The tour is not recommended for people in poor health or people with back or neck problems. Children must be aged 5+ to participate. Children aged 5–6 are accompanied by a guide, and the number of children allowed on the tour therefore depends on the number of guides available. If there are not enough guides for all the children, children aged 7–10 will zipline together in pairs.

Remember to bring: We recommend that you wear comfortable and ideally breathable clothing, a light waterproof jacket, walking shoes or trainers, sunscreen and mosquito repellent as well as have water with you.

NOTE: If you are on a self-drive holiday, you will drive yourself back to the hotel after the trip.
