Walking tour in the beautiful El Cubano Park
HIKE IN THE SCENIC EL CUBANO PARK
The excursion takes you to El Cubano Natural Park, one of the most scenic parks in the area. The park is located on the banks of the Guaurabo River – the place where Diego Velázquez founded Trinidad under the name Villa de la Santísima Trinidad.
A 7-km-long hike through the lush scenery awaits you here, where you can admire the Cuban flora and fauna, while the guide talks about all the different species. One of the highlights is the “Huellas de la Historia” trail, where you gain an insight into Cuba’s colonial past.
The hike continues along good paths and hanging bridges that take you to the El Salto de Javira waterfall, where you can bathe and see brightly coloured birds before enjoying lunch.
We recommend that you bring swimwear and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
