Bike ride in the magical surroundings of Ubud
On this bike ride, you will experience the real Bali off the beaten track!
You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the starting point of today’s bike ride in the village of Kayuamba, which is located in the Kintamani Highlands.
Once the bicycle has been adjusted, and you have received your mandatory bicycle helmet, your guide will tell you about the route, which is about 24 km long and takes you gradually downhill. You have a car following behind the whole way, so you can be driven the rest of the way if you don’t feel like cycling any more.
Ready, steady, go…! The tour takes you past light green rice fields and through cosy little villages, where you experience the everyday life of the Balinese people at close range. You make several stops along the way to enjoy and take pictures of the stunning views and scenic rice fields, where you will see the local farmers ploughing, sowing or harvesting, depending on the season.
Along the way, you will visit small village temples and a coffee plantation where you have the opportunity to taste the world’s most expensive coffee, luwak coffee.
The bike ride ends in the village of Bukit Jati Gianyar. From here, you will be driven to a Balinese house where Mr Wayan is waiting to welcome you into his home. The visit is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about Balinese family life, everyday life and culture. Mr Wayan serves a delicious lunch consisting of chicken. If you are vegetarian, vegan or have allergies, please let our partner know no later than the day before the bike ride.
You will be driven back to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Lunch is included in the price.
