Snorkelling at Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan
You will be picked up from the hotel after breakfast and driven to the harbour, where a speedboat will be waiting to take you out on the day’s adventures with lots of snorkelling, coral and stunning, colourful fish.
The boat ride to the area between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida takes around 10 minutes. Spend the next few hours enjoying the wonders of the blue undersea world, stopping at three different snorkelling sites.
If the weather and current conditions are good, you can jump in the water at Manta Bay, which is known for its large rays, and Crystal Bay with its crystal-clear water and the chance of seeing the orbicular batfish. The last stop is at Toyapakeh, from which you can see Mount Agung on a clear day. If there are larger waves and stronger currents, a stop will be made at Gamat or Ceningan, Mangrove Point and Toyapakeh Wall.
At around 1 pm, it’s time for an hour’s break and a nice lunch at a local restaurant at Lembongan. Your hunger sated, you will experience the amazing mangrove forest that covers most of the north-eastern part of Lembongan. When you get there, you can choose whether you would like to enjoy the quiet, serene trip in a kayak or in a small boat. The mangrove serves an important function for the local ecosystem, as it absorbs 50 times more CO2 than an ordinary tree and helps to give life to the many coral reefs.
After a day packed with an array of colourful sights, you will be taken back to the hotel, arriving at around 3.30 pm.
Lunch and the loan of snorkelling equipment and towel are included.
The extra tour is not permitted for children under 10 years old and persons over 65 years old.
