Sunset from the top of Mount Batur

Join an unforgettable trekking trip to the top of the active volcano, Mount Batur, from where you will be able to enjoy magnificent views of Bali and its beautiful nature.

In the afternoon, you will be collected from your hotel and driven to the starting point for the day’s trekking trip. Here, you will be greeted by a local and experienced trekking guide, who will brief you on the day’s programme. Before the trip to the top starts, you can enjoy an invigorating cup of coffee.

The ascent takes 1½ to 2 hours, and is considered to be easy to moderate with a few steep inclines on the rocky terrain. If you’re in good shape and bring shoes with good grip, you can look forward to the walk, because along the way you will have every opportunity to stop, take pictures and enjoy the impressive views of the fascinating volcanic landscape.

Once you’ve reached the top of Mount Batur, you will be rewarded with a view that you won’t soon forget as the sun’s rays slowly set over Bali’s picturesque landscape. While you admire the views, your guide will prepare a picnic for you to enjoy in the serene atmosphere with the most beautiful scenery as a backdrop. The meal consists of fresh fruit and a dish based on fried rice or noodles. The icing on the cake are the accompanying eggs, which are cooked in the hot fumes of the volcano.

Afterwards, it’s time to make your back through the volcanic landscape. Darkness falls just as quietly, but luckily you will be equipped with a torch so you can see where you’re going. After just over an hour, you are back at the starting point, from where you will be driven back to your hotel.
