The street kitchens of Sanur

Discover Bali’s culinary cuisine on an exciting street food tour that takes you through the diverse flavours of Bali and the vibrant atmosphere of Sanur.

In the afternoon, you will meet your guide in central Sanur, where the tour starts at a leisurely pace with a coconut drink in your hand. From here, you will be driven through the bustling streets, where you can soak up the atmosphere and get an insight into the locals’ everyday life. Along the way, you will make a stop at the historic monument of Bajra Sandhi, which honours the Balinese soldiers and bears witness to the rich cultural heritage of the island.

As darkness begins to fall, you move on to the lively Badung night market, where you can pamper your taste buds with a wealth of different dishes. Here you will experience Bali’s culinary diversity, which offers everything from spicy dishes to sweet temptations. The highlight of the street food tour is the iconic dish, Babi Guling, which is Indonesians’ answer to whole roast suckling pig and symbolises fertility and wealth. This is a must-try dish as it gives you the true taste of Bali’s cuisine.

You end the day in the best possible way when you are served the sweet Javanese dessert soup, Ronde, as a delicious conclusion to your gastronomic tour.
