Dream of experiencing the great migration right up close? Then do yourself a favour and upgrade to Mara Ngenche. Mara Ngenche is located slap bang in the middle of where the Talek River meets the Mara River, and during migration season, you may be lucky enough to see wildebeest and zebra crossing the river from the camp’s terrace. Naturally, it’s impossible to know exactly when and where which animals will cross the river, but even if there isn’t a crossing right by the camp while you’re there, it’s still hard to beat the location. The hippos grunt and the crocodiles lie in wait. This is how it is all year round, and you’re in the heart of the Masai Mara with easy access to all the areas.
The camp consists of 12 tents, all of which are tastefully appointed in a mix of “Out of Africa” colonial style with a modern touch. All tents have either a large double bed or two queen-size beds and all have both a shower and a bathtub.
