Olengoti Eco Safari Camp

Olengoti Safari Camp actually consists of two camps: a classic African tent camp as well as a camp with luxury cabins.

Environmental awareness is very much in focus at both. All energy comes from solar cells, and the wood used is eco-certified. The local Masais have themselves taken part in the building of the camp, and primarily local materials have been used.

Olengoti Eco Safari Camp is located right on the banks of the Talek River and consists of 11 luxury tents and 6 luxury cabins.

The tents are large and well-appointed. The beds have proper duvets and fabulous cotton sheets, and the Masai culture is reflected in the decoration with colourful bedspreads and handmade furniture.  All tent walls are canvas – even in the bathrooms. But there is a proper toilet, running water and shower, so even if you’re staying in a tent and can hear and smell the bush outside, you won’t have to compromise on comfort. In front of each tent, you have your own little veranda with safari chairs and tables, and we guess you’ll be spending many an hour here just looking at the nature around you.

There is a communal tent in the camp with fabulous leather furniture where you can relax after dinner, which is either served in the open air or in the restaurant tent.

The cabins are built of eco-certified wood, supplied with solar energy, and built to blend in with the surrounding nature. The cabins are spacious with a bedroom/living room and large outdoor veranda from which you can enjoy the view of the nature. The cabins are big enough for a family of two adults and two children.
