Full-day trip to Wasini Island
Who doesn’t dream of sailing on the Indian Ocean with dolphins leaping out of the water right next to the boat? Today, your dream can come true!
South of Mombasa, close to the border with Tanzania, is Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park. This day trip allows you to snorkel in the clear waters where corals, exotic fish and sea plants are protected. Dolphins often come right up close to the boat on the ride here and jump playfully out of the water in front and next to the boat.
It is also possible to hire snorkelling gear on the boat.
You will make a stop on the small tropical Wasini Island, where you can explore and experience the island’s small local community. On Wasini, you will also enjoy a delicious fish and shellfish lunch, and there will be time to relax after the sumptuous meal.
If time allows on the way back to the Mombasa, you will visit the caves in Shimoni, where the slaves were “stored” on the big slave trading days before being transported to the slave market in Zanzibar.
This excursion can be booked and paid for through our partner in Mombasa.
