Perched at 10,734 feet with a breathtaking view over the mountainside, the Laban Rata Resthouse is your sanctuary after a strenuous day of trekking. Here, you’ll find a cosy hub with a unique atmosphere among other trekkers sharing the same experience. It’s an ideal place to relax and reflect on your day.
Your night’s rest takes place in a bunk bed within a shared room accommodating 4-12 trekkers. You’ll have your own bed, complete with freshly washed sheets, pillows, and a sleeping bag. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s a good idea to bring along earplugs.
Since the Laban Rata Resthouse relies on solar panels for heating, hot water is a rarity. You can expect a refreshing cold shower (in shared facilities), which is fortunately excellent for recovery before you tuck into your warm sleeping bag in a room with an approximate temperature of 15 degrees.
The Laban Rata Resthouse prides itself on serving delicious, nutritious meals every morning, evening, and night, despite its remote location. Snacks can be purchased at The Goodie Bag Shop, which offers a small selection plus souvenirs from your trek.
