Tanini Kinabatangan
Hidden in the heart of Sabah’s lush rainforests, Tanini Kinabatangan sits on the banks of the roaring Kinabatangan River. The fauna and flora here are unlike anything found anywhere else in the world.
Tanini Kinabatangan has recently been renovated, so it looks nice wherever you go. Both the lodge and the outdoor areas are built with respect for nature, and blend in well with the lush surroundings of the rainforest.
During your stay, you will be accommodated in one of the lodge’s 16 spacious bungalows, which are dotted along the riverbank and border the rainforest. The rustic facades harmonise beautifully with the modern interior décor, where light walls are combined with dark details such as wooden floors and wooden furniture. Each air-conditioned bungalow has a tea/coffee station and a private bathroom with a hot-water shower and eco-friendly toiletries. From your private veranda, you can sit back with a good book while enjoying the deep tranquillity of the rainforest with a view of either the rippling river or the breathtaking rainforest.
The lodge’s stunning restaurant, which reflects the colours of the rainforest, provides a natural gathering point where you can look forward to enjoying Malaysian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Meals are the perfect opportunity to share the day’s observations and experiences with other travellers.
