Iko Mauritius Resort

Situated on the wild, unspoilt east coast of Mauritius – farthest to the south – is the fabulous 5-star Iko Resort. The hotel is part of the Anantara luxury chain and has everything you would expect from a 5-star resort.

From the time you step into the beautifully decorated lobby until you are settled into your lovely room, you will be aware of the attention to detail paid to the décor around you, which is both cosy and modern.

You will probably spend most of your time here at the beautiful infinity pool, which overlooks the Indian Ocean. If you are looking to gather experiences, you have good hiking and biking trails right outside your door. Play a game of tennis or enjoy a good massage at the hotel spa – perhaps while the kids are having fun at the Kids’ Club or at the special children’s pool.

Blue Bay Marine Park is located a mere stone’s throw away from the hotel, but you don’t actually even have to leave the hotel area if you want to snorkel. In the ocean just outside the resort, efforts have been made to save the coral, so you can easily snorkel straight from the beach. For the same reason, motorised boats are not allowed to sail right near the hotel – so both you and the fragile coral get to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Grab an afternoon drink at the cosy bar before heading on to one of the hotel’s three restaurants, all of which have a character of their own.
