The Reef Coco Beach Resort

In the outskirts of the popular holiday town of Playa del Carmen, right on the beach, is the all-inclusive resort The Reef Coco Beach.

Relax here after an adventure-packed tour by one of its big swimming pools, enjoy the comfortable loungers on the beach or participate in one of the resort’s many exciting activities that take place from morning to evening.

Should you need a slight change of scenery from all that lazing by the pool or on the beach, you can visit the resort’s gym, , play tennis, borrow a bike and go exploring or perhaps go kayaking along the Caribbean coast? These activities are also included in your stay.

The resort has a children’s club, where there are exciting activities for the little ones all day.

The rooms at the resort are decorated in light colours and either have a private balcony or a terrace from which you can enjoy the view of the lush surroundings and swaying palm trees that surround the entire resort.  All 196 rooms offer air conditioning, a TV, a mini-bar, and a safe as well as an en suite bathroom with a hair dryer and toiletries. Wi-Fi can be purchased at the reception.

Your all-inclusive stay includes all meals, snacks, drinks and local cocktails. Breakfast and lunch consist of a buffet and are always served in the Miramar restaurant, which has a stunning view of the sea. If you’re hungry during the day, you can grab a burger or some nachos at the snack bar, El Palmar, or swim straight to the pool bar, Azul 48, for a cool drink.

In the evening, you can choose to eat at Miramar, a restaurant which serves a large international buffet, at the Italian à la carte restaurant, Rosinella, or at the Mexican à la carte restaurant, Sabor Latino. Remember to book a table for the a la carte restaurants at the reception, preferably in good time.

It is possible to upgrade your all-inclusive stay to a premium all-inclusive stay, which, among other things, gives you additional access to the Japanese à la carte Samurai restaurant and the Bar & Mar lounge bar, as well as a larger selection of drinks in the other bars. Your room will also be upgraded to include free Wi-Fi, a coffee machine, a fridge with daily restocking of soft drinks and beer, and a 25% discount on SPA treatments at the resort. A day pass to their sister hotel Reef Playacar, where you can use their facilities for a whole day, is also included.

You also have the opportunity to treat yourself to other optional extras, such as snorkelling trips, scuba diving, Spanish/dance lessons, spa treatments or perhaps a romantic dinner on the beach.

A mere 10-minute walk from the resort is Playa del Carmen’s trendy pedestrian street, 5th Avenue, which offers a large selection of shops, cafés and restaurants.
