Boat trip – three islands and the wildlife of Yalahau lagoon

Join this unforgettable boat trip to the natural paradise of Yalahau Lagoon and experience the region’s most breathtaking natural wonders and a wealth of fascinating wildlife.

You sail through the enchanting lagoon, which is surrounded by lush mangroves. The tour gives you every opportunity to immerse yourself in the area’s rich biodiversity. Prepare to be greeted by a spectacular sight when the pink flamingos and other exotic birds emerge from hiding. In the lagoon, you will also be able to spot various schools of fish and dolphins swimming around in the water.

On Isla Pájaros, also known as Bird Island, you can see some of the most remarkable birds that you’ve probably ever seen in your life. The island is a protected natural area where it is not permitted to go ashore. Isla Pájaros is only accessible by boat, and is home to more than 140 different bird species – so don’t forget your binoculars!

There will also be time to take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the cenote Ojo de Agua, which is said to have healing properties.

The last stop on the tour before heading back to your hotel is Isla Pasión, an idyllic deserted beach adorned with pink seashells. Here, you can take a trip up the observation tower and enjoy impressive views of the lagoon and Holbox.

Duration: Approx. 3 hours

The tour includes: Transport and guide

Remember to take: Swimwear and a towel if you want to bathe in the cenote Ojo de Agua, and possibly a pair of binoculars.
