Leopard Beach Resort & Spa

Diani Beach

Situated on one of the world’s most stunning beaches, Diani Beach, 34 km south of Kenya’s bustling port, Mombasa, is the 5* Leopard Beach Resort & Spa.

Surrounded by a huge tropical garden, the resort is right next to the white sandy beaches and the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean, where the water is calm due to the coral reef that breaks the waves.

There are 158 rooms here of varying sizes. The buildings are spread out in the large garden, so there’s plenty of space here. All rooms either have their own balcony or terrace, and offer free Wi-Fi, a minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities and air conditioning.

There is no need to get bored at Leopard Beach. The resort offers a fabulous spa, a five-star diving centre, golf, volleyball courts, windsurfing – and, of course, the pool and the long white beach right outside your door. Despite the array of activities, it is, however, always possible to find a quiet corner at the resort. It is for good reason that the resort has won several awards.

“All Inclusive” consists of the following:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the main restaurant.

Fizzy drinks, juice, local beer and wine, selected cocktails.

The Sands at Nomad

Diani Beach

The water is turquoise-blue and warm, the sand is chalky white, and you are lying in the shade of a palm tree.

If you dream of staying at a small, really fabulous boutique hotel on the beautiful Kenya Diani Beach, The Sands at Nomad is the obvious choice. Here, you will find 25 km of lovely beach and a first-class hotel oozing charm and personality.

There are only 29 rooms, scattered here and there in a large tropical garden with swaying palm trees and green lawns, which contrast beautifully with the fine white sand on the beach.

All rooms are individually appointed with inspiration from traditional Swahili design. All have a mini bar, Wi-Fi, safe, air conditioning and a mosquito net over the beds.

The hotel boasts what is probably the deepest pool in the whole of Kenya – 5 metres – making it a great place to learn to dive. Sun loungers can be found all over the area, allowing you to choose whether you want to lie on the beach, by the pool or under a palm tree on the lawn.

Enjoy a relaxing massage at the hotel’s spa or enjoy some of the many water sports activities the hotel offers. It is also possible to take part in yoga classes, and there is a golf course close to the hotel.

The hotel has two restaurants and two bars spread across the area, so you never have far to go in search of food and drink.

The Sands at Chale Island

Chale Island

Welcome to paradise!

You can almost feel the calm wash over you when you disembark on the small island of Chale, a good two-hour ride south of Mombasa.

Coral and colourful fish inhabit the turquoise waters around the island, and in the mangrove forests on the island itself, you’ll find colonies of colobus monkeys and an abundance of birds. The white sandy beach – which you do not share with anyone other than the resort’s other guests – invites you to relax and sunbathe.

Life on the island is very much governed by the water. At high tide, you sail over to the island, and at low tide, you are transported there by tractor. At low tide you can walk all the way around the island and look at all the exciting things that wash up on the beach, and at high tide, you can paddle around in a kayak.

The resort has initiated a wide range of sustainability initiatives and works actively to preserve the flora and fauna, both in the water and on land. For that reason, there is, for example, no electricity during the day, when the sun is shining – and many of the resort’s guests are out on excursions.

There are 60 rooms here, divided into 6 different categories. All room categories have their own veranda with a view of the sea or the nature on the island.

Enjoy the resort’s restaurants and bars, have a nice massage at the day spa, jump into the pool or take advantage of the many water sports on offer. At sunset, you can make yourself comfortable in one of the hammocks suspended over the water and enjoy that drink while soaking up the last rays of the sun.

Please note that The Sands at Chale Island is closed from 15.04.24 to 20.06.24.
