A Little Sossus Lodge

Surrounded by mountains and with a view of the red sand dunes – 35 south-east of Sesriem – is A Little Sossus Lodge. The lodge is a re-purposed farm, and both the atmosphere and home comfort are well-preserved in the common lounge in the main building. Enjoy your breakfast and dinner on the big veranda – from which you have a view of the lodge garden, which provides the kitchen with its local ingredients. After a long day of experiences, you can cool yourself off in the lodge’s small swimming pool.

The rooms consist of 20 cottages, each with their own bath and toilet. The ceiling fan and illumination in each room operate using solar and wind power, and the soap and shampoo are environmentally friendly. Note that there is no TV in the rooms.

Swakopmund Plaza Hotel

At the heart of Swakopmund and surrounded by historical buildings is this modern hotel with 66 rooms of various sizes. All rooms feature their own bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, mini-bar, safe, as well as tea and coffee facilities.

Breakfast is enjoyed in the little bistro in on the ground floor, which also serves a light lunch, and at the end of the day we warmly recommend that you take a trip up to the hotel’s rooftop terrace, where there is a fantastic view of the city, the sand dunes and the ocean.

Klein Windhoek Guesthouse

In a quiet suburb close to the centre of Windhoek, you will find this excellent three-star guesthouse. 

There are 62 rooms of various sizes, all with private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi. 

After sightseeing, you can take a dip in the hotel’s small pool, and there is also a bar and restaurant if you don’t want to head into town for dinner.
