Hikka Tranz enjoys an outstanding location on Sri Lanka’s beautiful south coast overlooking Hikkaduwa Beach and Turtle Beach, where you can see sea turtles and snorkel among all the colourful fish.
The hotel’s 150 rooms are rustically appointed with tiled floors, traditional dark wooden furniture and colourful textiles. All offer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a ceiling fan, a safe, a TV, a minibar, an electric kettle to make tea and coffee and an en suite bathroom with a hair dryer and complimentary toiletries.
Each room has a balcony overlooking the garden and the rolling sea, where tall, slender palm trees sway in the wind. The balcony has comfortable seating where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or a good book to the sound of the waves.
In the garden, you’ll find the hotel’s lovely swimming pool, which has a pool for children, and the Tranzfuse pool bar, where you can order drinks and light meals.
Hikka Tranz also has two restaurants. The main restaurant, Tranzfusion, is open all day and serves both a buffet and a la carte meals consisting of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, while Crab Shack serves delicious seafood dishes for dinner. If you wish to eat out, there are several good restaurants nearby.
The hotel also has its own gym and diving centre, not to mention a day spa where you can relax and treat yourself to a massage and various facials.
As the day draws to a close, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset from your balcony with a glass of wine or a cocktail from the Tropiz @ Tranz bar.
