The extremely charming boutique hotel, Parawa House, is located in Galle Fort itself and within walking distance of the city’s attractions. Built in the finest colonial style with ancient doors, colourful window frames and small, elegant details that add the finishing touch, it really manages to take you back in time.
Parawa House is small and intimate with just 9 rooms. They are all simply appointed with four-poster beds in traditional dark wood, a wardrobe and some of them have a desk and seating area. All rooms have an en suite toilet and shower as well as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, free bottled water and an electric kettle so you can enjoy a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee on your private terrace/balcony.
The hotel has a cosy little garden with a seating area and a pond brimming with orange carp. Enjoy your breakfast here, which is served every morning between 7.30 and 10.30, while the sun slowly makes its way down into the garden.
On the top floor, the loveliest of pink bougainvillea reaches up to the sun terrace, where you can relax with a game of cards in the afternoon after a day of sightseeing.
