Ikoma Wildcamp: Walking Safari with “sundowner”
A walking safari is a hike in the bush around Ikoma Wild Camp. The tour lasts around an hour and takes place while it’s light. You are out walking in the wild and so are accompanied by both a guide and an armed security guard. Along the way you may encounter gazelles, antelopes, zebras, gnus, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes – and perhaps even lions! It is a wonderful experience walking around in the wild, where you’re not master of anything!
The tour rounds off with a “sundowner”, where you can enjoy the sunset with a cool drink in your hand.
There must be at least two people for this tour to go ahead. We recommend that you book this from home to guarantee a space. It is possible to book on your arrival, but there is no guarantee that a guide and security guard will be available.
You should bring tips of 5 USD each for both the guide and the security guard of your group.
