The sun is setting. Before changing for dinner, you jump in the “rooftop” pool for one last time today. From here, you can glimpse the sun, which is about to set over the Andaman Sea. The sky is a purple-red colour and the cicadas are singing around you.
Earlier in the day, you might have had a wonderful, relaxing Thai massage in the town, perhaps while the children enjoyed themselves at the hotel’s “Kids’ Club”. You might have been on an excursion around Phuket and experienced a little of the local life – and hopefully also have had time for a swim in the turquoise-blue sea.
You’re staying at the 4-star Chanalai Garden Resort, which is built up a slope at the southernmost end of Kata Yai Beach. Here, you are just a stone’s throw from the stunning beach and the cosy holiday atmosphere with all its restaurants and shops.
The 207 rooms are stylishly appointed. Western amenities meet Thai charm here. All rooms have a private balcony, air conditioning, a minibar, a flat-screen TV, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi.
At the hotel, you will find two restaurants, a pool bar, two pools, a Kids’ Club and a gym.
