Maehaad Bay Resort is located on the north-west coast of Koh Phangan, a few metres from the 800-metre-long sandy beach, Mae Haad.
The resort overlooks the sea and the small rocky island of Koh Ma. When the tide goes out, the most wonderful sandbank appears, allowing you to walk all the way over to the small island, which is also a little snorkelling paradise. The waters around Koh Ma are protected, and this means that there are lots of beautiful, tropical fish around the rocks and corals.
Maehaad Bay Resort has 48 rooms of at least 30 m2 located in various parts of the manicured garden with its tropical plants and majestic palm trees. The pleasantly appointed rooms overlook the garden and pool area. Every room has Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe, a fridge, a TV and a telephone. There is also a wardrobe where you’ll find bathrobes and slippers. The modern bathrooms offer a rain shower, a hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. When you wake up, you can sit out on your balcony and start the day with a cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing.
The resort has two lovely swimming pools with a jacuzzi and children’s pool. After a refreshing dip, you can recline on a sun lounger and enjoy the sun, or read a good book in the shade of a parasol.
As a guest at the resort, you also have the option of renting canoes and kayaks. There’s even a gym for those wishing to stay in shape.
The Aim Aroy restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves delicious, traditional Thai and international dishes, which you can enjoy with a view of the sea and Koh Ma.
If you follow the road outside the resort, you’ll also find cosy cafés, restaurants and small supermarkets.
In the evening, you can go for a walk along the beach and witness the most wonderful sunset, painting the sky in the most beautiful warm colours, while the waves gently lap the shore.
