Ang Thong Marine National Park
Join us on this scenic boat trip to Ang Thong Marine National Park, which is an absolute must-see in this part of Thailand.
Ang Thong Marine National Park consists of a string of 42 small rockislands. It offers lovely bounty beaches, fantastic snorkelling, caves, islands, waterfalls and fascinating views.
You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Bangrak beach, where you can enjoy breakfast. You will then board a boat which takes you to the incredibly scenic snorkelling spot around Koh Wao.
Koh Wao consists of three small islands sheltered by a bay that keeps the water calm most of the year, making it an ideal place to snorkel. You have plenty of time here to admire the amazing underwater world with its corals and colourful fish.
You will then be sailed on to Koh Mae Koh, which is undoubtedly one of the most scenic islands in Ang Thong Marine National Park. Besides its pristine beaches, the island is known for its beautiful salt water lake,, Emerald Lake. Formed in an extinct volcano, the emerald-green lake is today surrounded by rainforest and limestone cliffs. A walk through narrow gorges and rainforest leads you to the top of Koh Mae Koh, where you can enjoy the most spectacular view of Emerald Lake and the stunning archipelago.
The boat sails you on to the island of Koh Paluay, the only one of the islands which is inhabited. You will visit a local restaurant here, where a traditional Thai lunch is served.
After lunch, you are sailed to Song Pee Nong beach on the southern part of Koh Paluay. You get to enjoy the afternoon here at your own pace when you can go kayaking, swimming and sunbathing on the fabulous beach.
After a fantastic day, you are sailed back to Koh Samui, where you arrive during the afternoon.
A driver will be waiting here to drive you back to the hotel.
Please note that from 1 November to 15 December, it is not possible to visit Emerald Lake.
Lunch and the snorkelling trip are included in the price.
