Hong Island by speedboat
You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the pier, where a speedboat will be waiting to take you to Hong Island, which is located between Krabi and Koh Yao Noi. Part of the Than Bok Khorani National Park, the island is known for its breathtaking beauty. Hong Island consists of two picture-perfect beaches with fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, surrounded by dramatic limestone karsts. Perfect for relaxing and swimming. The rest of the island is covered in lush jungle where various species of flora and fauna thrive. In the middle of the island, you’ll find the island’s attraction: a spectacular azure lagoon which can only be reached by boat via a narrow passage.
When you arrive at Hong Island, you’ll have time to relax on one of the exotic beaches, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Behind the beach runs an 800-metre-long path, giving you the opportunity to explore the interior of the island with its wildlife and beautiful nature, including the important banyan trees, which play a central role in Buddhism. Before leaving Hong Island, a visit to the island’s famous lagoon is a must. It’s really beautiful here, and reminiscent of Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh.
On the way back to Krabi, you’ll visit Pak Bia Island, which is a quiet place to relax and snorkel, and the nature is beautiful and unspoiled. The location close to Phang Nga Bay makes the water around the island more emerald green than turquoise and the sand more golden than white.
A sandbar connects Pak Bia Island with Lao Lading Island, also known as Paradise Island, which is the last stop of the tour. The beach is divided in two; at one end you can swim and snorkel among the colourful, tropical fish, and at the other end, the boats are neatly parked on the sand. From the beach, you have a fabulous view of the magnificent limestone karsts.
After a lovely day, you’ll be sailed back to Krabi, where you’ll be driven back to your hotel.
