Island hopping: Hong Island, Pak Bia Island & Laem Haad Beach

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Chong Lard pier, where a traditional long-tail boat will be waiting to sail you out on a fairy tale island hopping tour.

You’ll start by visiting Hong Island, situated between Krabi and the Koh Yao islands. Part of the Than Bok Khorani National Park, Hong Island is known for its breathtaking beauty. Hong Island consists of two picture-perfect beaches with fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, surrounded by dramatic limestone karsts. The rest of the island is covered in lush jungle where various species of flora and fauna thrive.

When you arrive at Hong Island, you’ll have time to relax on one of the exotic beaches, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. After lunch, you can walk up to a viewpoint, where you’ll have an absolutely amazing panoramic view of Hong Island and Phang Nga Bay.

Back in the long-tail boat, you’ll be sailed on to the small, idyllic islands of Koh Lao La Ding and Pak Bia Island, where’ll you have the opportunity to snorkel and experience the colourful marine life. At low tide, you’ll see a sandbar emerging and connecting Pak Bia with the neighbouring island of Koh Lao La Ding Island, known as Paradise Island. The location of the islands close to Phang Nga Bay makes the water around the island more emerald green than turquoise and the sand more golden than white.

You’ll then be sailed to the charming Nok Island, known for its unspoiled scenery with soft, light sandy beaches surrounded by crystal-clear waters – ideal for sunbathing and swimming.

The day’s island hopping ends back at Koh Yao Yai on the spectacular Laem Haad beach located in the north-eastern part of Koh Yao Yai. The beach is also known as “Thailand’s Maldives” due to its white sandy beach and iconic sandbank which emerges at low tide, and which extends far out into the sea. Enjoy a walk along the beach and view of the swaying palms and green mountains. Or how about a swim in the clear, warm water? You could also lay yourself down on your beach towel and soak in the sun’s rays before heading back to the hotel.
