Snorkelling trip to the Surin Islands by speedboat
Come on a fantastic snorkelling trip to the scenic Surin Islands, which also offer culture and relaxation.
You’ll be picked up from the hotel and driven to the pier in the charming little fishing village of Namkhem, where you’ll be kitted out with your snorkelling equipment. From here, you’ll be sailed by speedboat to the Surin Islands, which are said to be one of the best places in the Andaman Sea for snorkelling.
Once arrived at Surin Island National Park, you’ll visit Chong Kad Channel, the first snorkelling stop of the day, where you can swim in the azure water and explore the enchanting corals on the seabed, where you may be lucky enough to spot Nemo!
Back onboard, you’ll sail to the nearby village of Moken, where an exciting cultural visit awaits. Moken is home to sea gypsies, who live in wooden houses on stilts and are known for their impressive free diving skills.
The next stop offers relaxation at the lovely, quiet Mai Ngam beach, which beckons you with its white sand, palm trees and crystal blue waters.
After that, it’s time for lunch, which is enjoyed at the national park’s canteen. Lunch consists of a Thai buffet with a choice of chicken, seafood, and vegetables with rice.
After lunch, you’ll visit Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim and explore the beautiful coral reef and see the small fish in their natural habitat.
The last snorkelling spot of the day is Pineapple Bay or Tao Bay, where, again, you get to experience the breathtaking underwater life before being sailed back to the pier in Namkhem.
Please note that the tour only operates in the period from 15 October to 15 May.
