Street food tour in Chiang Mai

Come on this street food tour and taste Northern Thailand’s delicious regional dishes and local snacks.

You have to make your own way to the starting point of the tour, which is at the Discova Day Tour Chiang Mai Shop. You can either walk there, take a taxi or a tuktuk. On your arrival, your guide will give you a short briefing before you set off on an adventure through the charming streets of Chiang Mai.

The first stop on the tour is the local Chiang Mai Gate Market, which is located at the southern gate. Here you can taste various local dishes and snacks.

The tour continues through Chiang Mai’s old town, making a stop at the local restaurant, Heun Phen, where you’ll taste the famous northern Thai dish, Khao Soi, which is a curry consisting of noodles, vegetables and possibly meat. Your hunger sated, the tour continues to the beautifully lit Wat Chedi Luang, where you can enjoy the sight of Chiang Mai’s iconic temple and build up your appetite again.

Afterwards, you’ll continue to the local Chang Peuk Gate Market, which is located at the northern gate. Here, you can choose between a refreshing smoothie or a classic Thai dessert.

The tour now continues in a songthaew, which is a converted pick-up, to a local flower market, where you can stroll among the many stalls brimming with colourful flowers and local delicacies. You’ll cross the Ping River here, and you can enjoy the sight of Wat Gate Garam in the glow of the evening light.

The tour rounds off with a visit to a local bar on the Ping River, where you can enjoy a beer or a soft drink.

After a fantastic evening of culinary delights, you’ll be driven back to the Discova Day Tour Chiang Mai Shop in a songthaew, where the tour ends.
