Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from selected airport

Today, you’ll be travelling to Thailand with connecting flight(s) on the way.

Day 2: Arrival in Krabi

You land at Krabi Airport, after which you will go through immigration and pick up your luggage. In the arrivals hall, a driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure after your long flight. Put on your swimsuit and find a sun lounger by the hotel pool or head for the beach, which is just a stone’s throw away.

Basically, you stay at Tub Kaek beach, which is known for its pristine beauty and tranquil atmosphere, and therefore the ideal base for peace and relaxation. It is a nice place to stay, as the beach is not overcrowded, while the choice of restaurants is small but good. You can also easily visit the neighbouring beach of Klong Muang, or take a taxi to Ao Nang, which takes 20 minutes. Here, the resort is full of life and offers a wealth of different experiences.

In Ao Nang, you can choose to stay at one of our upgrade hotels, which is for those who want a livelier pace of life and a greater range of restaurants and activities. The long main street stretches for several kilometres with a wealth of international restaurants and eateries with a focus on local Thai cuisine. You will find both the quiet Nopphara Thara beach, which is perfect for a stroll at sunset, and Ao Nang beach, where you can swim during the day. It also makes sense to try the iconic long-tail boats and take a trip to one of the wonderful beaches that can be reached with a short boat trip.

Days 3-4: Beach holiday in Krabi

The days are yours to do as you please.

In Krabi Province, the door is open to a wealth of activities and beautiful beaches, all of which overlook the many limestone karsts and islets that characterise Krabi Province.

In the Andaman Sea off Krabi are some of Thailand’s most beautiful islands, including the Phi Phi Islands, Hong Island and many more besides. You’ll experience some of these islands on the excursion tomorrow – something to look forward to! The islands are known for their exceptional beaches, fantastic snorkelling and stunning scenery.

The mainland also offers lovely beaches, including Railay Beach, Phra Nang Beach and Tonsai Beach. These beaches attract visitors from all over the world with their white sand, crystal-clear waters and impressive rock formations.

In addition to relaxation, you have the opportunity to experience Krabi’s fantastic nature, including natural pools in the jungle. Or how about the kayaking paradise Ao Thalane? If you’re up for even more adventure, you can head through lush jungle and small streams to the nearby mountain Khao Ngon Nak, where you’re rewarded with an unforgettable view of the area.

Here in Krabi Province, you also have the opportunity to experience Thai culture characterised by two religions. Buddhists and Muslims live peacefully side by side here, and the multicultural society is particularly evident in the local cuisine and in the range of cultural experiences. You’ll find mosques and temples, and Tiger Cave Temple, just outside Krabi, is particularly worth a visit. You’ll get right up close to the monks’ everyday life and have the opportunity to climb the 1,200+ steps to the top of the rock – something that is considered a symbolic act, which represents overcoming life’s challenges and achieving inner peace.

Day 5: Full-day island-hopping tour & Phra Nang Beach

Today, you will set off on a full-day island hopping tour and experience some of the most popular islands in the Andaman Sea and the picturesque Phra Nang Beach on the Railay Peninsula.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the pier, where a long-tail boat will be waiting to sail you out into the turquoise-coloured Andaman Sea.

Around 30 minutes later, you’ll arrive at Koh Poda, one of the most beautiful islands in the Andaman Sea. The island is known for its pristine beaches with soft, white sand leading down to the crystal-clear water. There will be time to swim, sunbathe and snorkel among the tropical fish. You can also take some time for yourself and sit in the shade of one of the trees and just enjoy the breathtaking view. If you’d like to enjoy the feeling of having the island to yourself, walk further down the beach and find your own little, undisturbed piece of paradise. The further away you get, the bigger the Robinson Crusoe vibe you’ll get.

At midday, a traditional Thai buffet lunch will be set up on the beach for you to enjoy with your toes buried in the white sand.

You’ll board the long-tail boat again, which will take you to Koh Gai also known as Chicken Island. The island is named after a mountain formation that resembles like a hen and offers fabulous beaches surrounded by crystal-clear waters with coral reefs and colourful fish.

Afterwards, you’ll visit the paradise islands of Koh Tup and Koh Mor, which offer crystal-clear waters, white sand and great snorkelling. The islands are connected by a sandbank, which comes into view at low tide. It’s also possible to swim from one island to the other, as they are so close to each other.

The tour ends at Phra Nang Beach, where you can spend time swimming and visiting the Princess Cave or walk to the east side of the Railay Peninsula, where you’re very likely to meet a few macaques on your way.

Mid-afternoon, you’re back at the hotel, where the rest of the day is yours to do as you please.

Day 6: Krabi – Koh Lanta

Today, your island-hopping adventure starts on Koh Lanta and Koh Ngai.

After breakfast and check-out, you’ll be driven to the Ban Hua Hin pier, around a 1.5 hour’s drive away. From here, you will take a ferry to Koh Lanta, a crossing of around 20 minutes. On your arrival, a driver will be waiting to drive you to the hotel, and after check-in, you can lounge by the pool or head for the beach.

Days 7-9: Beach holiday on Koh Lanta

The days are yours to do as you please.

Koh Lanta is an island with beautiful beaches, countless local restaurants, traditional island life, stunningly beautiful scenery and not least dazzling sunsets.

The island’s best and most beautiful beaches are to be found all along the west coast. They are golden, and the water is calm and shallow – perfect for the young and old alike. If you head to the north-west, you will find the long, wide beaches, whereas the beaches furthest south are more rugged and rocky.

Despite its size, Koh Lanta is one of Thailand’s more authentic islands, where the locals do not live exclusively off tourism as on many other Thai islands, and this can be felt – in a good way. There are no bar streets, high-rise buildings or shopping centre here. Koh Lanta is proof that tourists and locals can easily make things work without either party having to compromise.

In the main town, Saladan, on the northern tip of the island, there is plenty of opportunity to get close to the locals and get a feel for the traditional island life, and the same is true in the small fishing villages such as Lanta Old Town on the east coast. It’s as if time stands still here. The old town is also known as Sea Gypsy Village, as the inhabitants live on the sea in wooden houses built more than a hundred years ago. The Sea Gypsies rarely mingle with the regular population, and they have their own language, traditions and beliefs. Not a lot happens there, but it’s very cosy.

Koh Lanta’s beautiful scenery is especially evident in Koh Lanta National Park, which offers great walks and breathtaking views. In the middle of the island, you can even experience waterfalls and caves, where stalactites and stalagmites sparkle like diamonds. If, on the other hand, you make your way to north-eastern Koh Lanta, you can go kayaking, as a large part of the area consists of mangroves. If you have not had enough of the sea, you can visit Hin Daeng, Koh Rok Noi and Koh Rok Nai, which are some of Thailand’s finest snorkelling and diving sites with beautiful coral reefs, fish, caves and wrecks.

In the evening, you can sit yourself down at a beach bar and watch the sun set over the Andaman Sea with an ice-cold Singha beer in your hand.

Day 10: Koh Lanta Yai – Koh Ngai

Today, you’ll be sailing on to the next island, Koh Ngai.

After breakfast and check-out, you’ll be picked up from the hotel and driven to the Saladan pier, where you’ll take a speedboat to the small paradise island of Koh Ngai. You’ll sail past tall limestone karsts and arrive at the little island around 40 minutes later. The boat docks at the beach, and the hotel staff will help you carry your luggage to reception. After check-in, the day is yours to enjoy this paradise island, where relaxation and tranquillity await you.

Days 11-12: Beach holiday on Koh Ngai

There are no planned excursions.

Koh Ngai is like something from a travel magazine – traditional long-tail boats are parked on the white sand, palm trees hang lazily across the beach and the clear, turquoise water and vertical limestone karsts provide the perfect backdrop. You have no choice here but to unwind. There are no roads, no shops, no traffic no neon lights and no noisy discos. Just lie back and enjoy the tranquillity and the scenic surroundings instead.

Koh Ngai also offers fantastic snorkelling and good walks in the jungle full of birds chirping and viewpoints.

Koh Ngai is affected by the tide during the afternoon. This doesn’t mean that you can’t swim, but you’ll have to walk a lot further out than usual. Otherwise, you can make use of the hotel pool when you need a dip.

In the evening, you can go for a stroll along the beach and watch the sun go down to the gentle lapping of the waves. Round off the day at one of the laid-back lounge bars along the beach, where there’s live music from time to time.

Day 13: Departure day

Sadly, the time has come to bid Thailand farewell.

You’ll be picked up by a long-tail boat that sails you to the Pak Meng pier south of Krabi – a trip that takes 45–60 minutes. A driver will be waiting for you on the pier to drive you to the airport, from which you will fly back to Europe with connecting flights(s) along the way.

Day 14: Arrival back home

You land at your chosen airport after an eventful yet relaxing journey with lots of new memories to look back on.

City break extension in Bangkok
3 nights

Extend your tour to include an exciting city break to Bangkok and fall head over heels for the hectic and fascinating capital, which is home to around 12 million inhabitants.

There are no planned excursions today, so you can explore the city at your own pace.

When it comes to getting about in Bangkok, you needn’t worry about the notorious traffic, as there is a wide range of transport options other than buses and taxis. The river taxis are popular and account for a significant portion of the city’s public transport, as they dock at many of the city’s sights. You can also take The Sky Train, which winds its way between the many high-rise buildings and is a good, fast and cheap way of travelling.

Bangkok is divided into east and west by the 372-km-long Chao Phraya River, which flows south of Bangkok all the way up to Nakhon Sawan.

The eastern part of the city is considered to be central Bangkok, where the popular areas of Silom and Sukhumvit have a high concentration of shopping centres, local markets, good eateries and cool sky bars. It is also on the eastern side that you will find the historic part of Bangkok, which is home to the spectacular royal palace, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew.

Fortunately, Bangkok also has many green oases when you need to retreat from the tropical heat and noisy traffic. These include Lumpini Park and Benjakitti Park or the green island, Bang Krachao, which is often referred to as “Bangkok’s jungle” – it’s as if time stands still here.

On the western side, on the other hand, you experience a completely different world without skyscrapers and honking tuk tuks. You will encounter a more authentic Bangkok and a maze of canals here, where houses stand on stilts and postmen make their deliveries by boat. This is such a stark contrast to eastern Bangkok that you feel like you are in a different place entirely – however, the city’s great contrasts are precisely what make Bangkok such a fantastic and fascinating city to visit!

In the evening, China Town, the Asiatique outdoor shopping and entertainment area, and the many sky bars are especially popular. Known from the film “The Hangover Part II”, Lebua Sky Bar is an ideal place to enjoy a refreshing drink before dinner while watching the sun set over the capital.

Whatever you decide to do, we guarantee that you won’t get bored!
