At the border to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park is the charming Enjojo Lodge, right in the lush nature with palm trees, grasslands and an acacia forest with growing pains.
These lush surroundings make the nature around the lodge rich in bird life, and you can even regularly spot herds of elephants, buffalo and antelopes in the area. Green macaques, baboons and black/white mantled guereza monkeys can also be found in the surrounding nature. The grounds of the lodge are so big that you can go out and experience the fascinating animal life on a guided safari on foot without leaving the grounds.
The lodge itself was built by local craftsmen, who exclusively used local materials to suit the surroundings. Most of the furniture and decorations were hand-made by the local population as well.
At the straw-strewn restaurant and bar, you can enjoy delicious home-cooked food or a lovely drink as you admire the picturesque nature and the beautiful little natural lake.
