At the border of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, right next to a small river, is the charming lodge Mahogany Springs. The lodge is a perfect base for your Gorilla tracking adventure, as it features not only a spectacular view of the woods, but also gives you the chance to stand face to face with a gorilla, as these peaceful creatures often visit the lodge from time to time.
The lodge’s spacious thatched-roof cottages in a traditional African style all feature mosquito nets over their beds, private bathrooms with fine terracotta details and their own balcony with a view of the lush forest.
The main building features a large panorama terrace, which stretches all the way across the front of the building. Here, you can enjoy the view of the woods while listening to the forest birds and the babbling river. Out here, among the relaxing sounds of nature, you can also eat your breakfast and dinner or take afternoon tea, unless you would prefer to eat indoors in the warmth of the roaring fireplace. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are included.
After dinner, you can sit down and relax by the fireplace with a good book or a board game, or you can sit down in one of the sofas on the balcony and look out over the forest.
Free Wi-Fi is also available in the main lodge building.
