Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum

A visit to Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum takes you back in time to 1773, when American history changed forever. The museum allows you to get up close to the landmark Boston Tea Party protest, which is regarded as one of the key events in the run-up to the American Revolution. You will be greeted by costumed storytellers who will vividly reenact the events surrounding the Boston Tea Party and give you a unique insight into the dramatic night of 16 December 1773.

At the museum, you can also see the Robinson Tea Chest, which is the only surviving tea chest from 1773 and which has been preserved for more than two centuries. You can also watch the award-winning film, Let it Begin Here, which depicts Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the start of the revolution.

The museum displays replicas of 18th-century sailing ships, and you get the chance to participate in the tradition of throwing tea overboard, just as the colonists did.

Conclude your visit by enjoying a cup of tea and a light snack in Abigail’s Tea Room, which encapsulates the atmosphere of a bygone era and offers views of the sea and Boston’s skyline.

We recommend that you book the excursion when booking the tour.
