Day trip to historic St Augustine
Join us on an exciting day trip to the historic city of St Augustine, known as the oldest city in America. The city exudes charm with its cobbled streets and well-preserved architecture, and here you will find, among other things, America’s oldest school built of wood from the early 18th century.
You should start the day with a visit to the oldest brick fort in the USA, Castillos de San Marcos. The fort was completed in 1695, and was built to defend Spain’s attempt to claim the New World.
From here, you can explore the charming St George Street, where you will find shops, cafés, distilleries and art galleries that set the scene for the city’s colonial atmosphere.
End the day at the striped lighthouse at the St Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the city and the sea from the top.
