Oak Alley Plantation – visit to historic sugar plantation incl. transfer

Join us on a fascinating excursion to Oak Alley Plantation and experience a historical time capsule in Louisiana. The plantation is known for its impressive avenue of 300-year-old oak trees that form a majestic entrance to the place.

On this excursion, you will be guided around the extraordinary antebellum mansion, where your guide will tell you about the plantation’s history, architecture and the conditions of the families who previously lived there. Explore the well-preserved buildings and get a unique glimpse into life on a 19th-Century Southern plantation.

You will also have an opportunity to explore the place on your own and time to enjoy the beautiful gardens and views of the Mississippi River. In addition, you can see a number of exhibitions on the plantation covering different aspects of its history, including the importance of slavery and the people who worked on the plantation in its time.

*You will be transported from a joint meeting point in New Orleans’ French Quarter to Oak Alley Plantation together with the other participants of the group. On conclusion of the excursion to the plantation, you will be transported back to the meeting point (details can be found on your voucher).
