San Francisco Bay Catamaran Cruise (evening)
Picture yourself standing on the deck of a catamaran in San Francisco Bay, heading towards the Golden Gate Bridge itself with the lights from the mainland sparkling as darkness falls. That’s precisely what you’ll be doing on this excursion.
The cruise departs from Pier 39 by the famous colony of sea lions, where the crew is ready to help you aboard. En route, you’ll first pass the prison island of Alcatraz, which from 1934–1963 housed some of America’s most hardened criminals. You’ll then set course for the enormous, red mastodon, the Golden Gate Bridge, and, depending on the wind, weather and time, you may be lucky enough to see the iconic bridge enveloped in the light of a sunset. Sunset or not, it’s a wonderful experience in itself to sail in the historic bay and not least to feel the sheer scale of the bridge right up close. On the way back, you can look forward to an unforgettable view of the San Francisco skyline, its lights sparkling beautifully in the dark.
One free drink is served along the way, with the option to buy more should you so wish. There are also toilet facilities on board.
