Scenic guided tour of San Diego
Join us on an exciting tour of the absolute highlights of San Diego.
Your local guide will take you from the agreed meeting point to the charming culinary neighbourhood of Little Italy and the Gaslamp Quarter. From here, beautiful La Jolla awaits at the northern end of the city, where the Veterans’ Memorial also stands elevated above the city on a mountaintop. From here, you enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the city and not least the Pacific Ocean.
The tour continues to the historic Old Town, the first European settlement in California, where houses from the 1800s stand to this day. Since then, the Old Town has become a Mexican district with restaurants, small shops and generally picturesque scenery. From the Old Town, the tour continues to the urban Balboa Park – a large cultural oasis with a botanical garden and no fewer than 18 museums. It’s an exciting breathing space in the heart of the city. Finally, you head over to Coronado Island. The small peninsula is incredibly cosy and known particularly for its white sandy beaches and the iconic Hotel Del Coronado. The hotel is not only notable for its distinctive architecture with many small towers, but it also has an unusual history. In 1958, the hotel provided the set for the film “Some Like It Hot”, with artists such as Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in the cast.
On the way back to the mainland, you get the most beautiful view of Downtown San Diego.
