Whale watching in Monterey
Monterey Bay is one of the few places in the world where you’re very likely to encounter the giants of the sea – whales. The wildlife in the area is diverse, so the list of animals you might meet on the tour is long. The nutritious and protected marine reserve at Monterey Bay Submarine Canyon creates conditions perfect for the well-being of animals such as humpback whales, killer whales, grey whales, blue whales, sperm whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sea lions and much more. The wildlife may vary depending on what time of the year you visit.
The excursion takes place aboard one of the largest boats (110 feet) in the Monterey fleet, and you can either stay out on deck or indoors in the heated lounges. When on board, you can choose to upgrade to the upper VIP deck (for a fee – first come, first served). There are toilet facilities on board.
We recommend that you book the optional excursion when booking the tour.
