You’ll be picked up from your hotel by your guide and driven to the tranquil Bao Quoc Pagoda, a historic Buddhist temple complex idyllically situated on the banks of the Perfume River. Established in the 17th century, the pagoda is famed for its serene atmosphere and traditional architecture. The temple complex boasts beautiful structures and pavilions, surrounded by lush gardens and ancient trees, making it an ideal spot for meditation and inner peace. The main temple features an impressive facade, while inside you’ll discover intricate decorations with Buddhist statues and artworks reflecting the depth of Buddhism. Furthermore, the Bao Quoc Pagoda serves as a significant educational centre for Buddhist monks, where they study Buddhist scriptures and delve into Buddhist philosophy and practice.

The tour will then continue to Phu Cam Cathedral, a prominent Catholic church renowned for its impressive architecture that blends modern design with traditional elements. Built on an elevation overlooking Hué, Phu Cam Cathedral presents a magnificent facade with two towering spires reaching toward the sky. The cathedral is a central gathering point for the Catholic community in Hué and stands as an important symbol of the Christian presence in the region.

Next, you’ll visit a local home where you will meet the skilled artisan, Mrs. Thuy, who has been creating traditional conical hats for over four decades. Experience her passion and craft, and hear some of her personal stories. The tour will then move on to a local eatery where you can look forward to a delicious experience with Hué’s famed steamed rice cakes, Bánh Bèo Huế.

The tour will conclude at the secluded An Dinh Palace, the former residence of Vietnam’s last emperor. The palace combines Vietnamese imperial architecture with elegant European elements. Inside, you can admire impressive murals, gold ornaments, and ornate details, while the surrounding lush gardens exude tranquillity and grandeur.

After an exciting day, you will be transported back to your hotel.
