Bicycle tour of Silk Island

Are you interested in experiencing the authentic life of the Cambodian countryside away from the major tourist attractions? Then join us on this cultural cycling adventure, which is the perfect way to experience Phnom Penh and the surrounding area. 

You need to arrive at Areiksart ferry port around 8:00 with a camera, sunscreen and comfortable clothes for an exciting and eventful day. After a brief introduction to the day’s programme and adjustment of your bicycle, you take the ferry to Koh Dach, known as Silk Island. Here, your 20-25 km bicycle tour begins, taking you through the charming Cham Muslim communities and scenic Mekong Islands. 

On the bicycle tour, you will explore lush orchards, colourful gardens and traditional village crafts, where you will have the opportunity to experience and learn about the unique and local craft techniques. You will make several stops along the way to take photos and enjoy the beautiful surroundings as well as to get an authentic insight into Cambodian everyday life. 

At lunchtime, you will stop at a local restaurant, where you will be treated to a delicious traditional Khmer lunch. Here you can taste the best of Cambodian cuisine, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the views of the countryside. 

After lunch, your bicycle tour continues through the idyllic countryside, and you then take the ferry back and are driven to your hotel, carrying with you lasting memories and new insights into Cambodian life and rich culture. 

After the bicycle tour, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
